Definition & Usage
This is conjugated with has/have + past participle.
It is used
- for past actions which extend to present, usually with adverbs like 'since', 'for','ever', 'never', etc.For examples
We have not seen them since we graduated from university.

- for recently completed actions, usually with adverbs like 'just' and 'recently
For examples
We have recently gotten married.
He has just received his increment.
- for actions occurring at an unspecified time in the past.For Examples

- for actions whic are repeated or habitual.
For Examples
We have often said that we would own our own home one day.
