Definition & Usage
This is conjugated with has/have + past participle.
It is used
- for past actions which extend to present, usually with adverbs like 'since', 'for','ever', 'never', etc.For examples
We have not seen them since we graduated from university.

- for recently completed actions, usually with adverbs like 'just' and 'recently
For examples
We have recently gotten married.
He has just received his increment.
- for actions occurring at an unspecified time in the past.For Examples
She has already seen the movie " Red Clift".
Have you spoken to her yet?
- for actions whic are repeated or habitual.
For Examples
We have often said that we would own our own home one day.
She has often though of going to Singapore to further her studies.
